Aloha, we're Mark and Cory. We want you to feel at home from the moment you walk through the door. Our recent remodel pairs thoughtful modern updates with the relaxed elegance of Maui: dark bamboo floors, warm-toned furnishings and carefully chosen artwork make it a peaceful place to unwind after a day of swimming, snorkeling and exploring.

The living and dining areas open onto the spacious lanai through pocket sliders that disappear into the walls, so the Pacific feels like part of the room. Have your morning coffee to the sound of the waves, an afternoon cocktail in the island breeze, and the sunset with family and friends.

A king bed with a high-quality mattress and fresh linens, and its own updated bathroom with a tile-and-glass walk-in shower.

Two twin beds that we can make into a king if you ask ahead, and its own updated bathroom with a tile-and-glass walk-in shower, so each couple has one.

Kitchen

New cabinetry, quartz countertops and modern appliances, with a well-stocked collection of cookware for anything from a quick breakfast to a special family dinner. When outdoor cooking calls, there are barbecue grills at the pool and the tennis pavilion.

Comfort

Air conditioning, ceiling fans throughout, large flat-screen TVs, plantation-style doors, carpeted bedrooms and a stackable washer and dryer. Beach chairs and beach toys are ready when you head down to the sand.

On the water, and around it

Set along Maui's southwest coast, Makena Surf is a gated, 15-acre beachfront resort of tropical gardens on Po'olenalena Beach. Snorkel in clear water where green sea turtles are frequent visitors, watch for humpback whales from the lanai in season, and when evening comes, watch the sky turn every color as the sun sets over the ocean and the neighboring islands. Maluaka Beach is just down the road, and Makena Beach (Big Beach) is a short drive south.

Makena Surf has no elevators. B303 is on the top floor, so expect a climb up the stairs.

Our story: a love affair with Maui

Our connection to Maui began in 2000, after the birth of our first son. From our earliest visits we fell in love with the island's natural beauty, relaxed pace and unmistakable spirit. When we discovered Makena Surf, we knew we had found something truly special: a place where the ocean, the mountains and the warmth of island life come together in a way that feels almost magical.

We dreamed that someday we might have a place of our own here, somewhere our family could return to year after year to make memories and share the beauty of Maui with the people we love. That dream became our home at Makena Surf.

We've updated and furnished it to reflect what we love most about being here: the extraordinary setting, the comfort of a welcoming home, and the simple pleasure of spending time together. Whether you're enjoying a morning on the lanai, exploring the ocean, relaxing by the pool or gathering to watch another Maui sunset, we hope our home becomes a special part of your own Maui story.
